What do you think of these girls names ?

Hi, We have found out from the 20 week scan that we are having a GIRL !!! Really, really pleased as we have 4 boys already. I have loads of names I like and have now narrowed it down to a top seven and I would be interested to hear other peoples opinions.

What do you think of these girls names ?
I really like Caitlin - and i love it spelled like that!





I also like Lauren and Melissa, Lola is good too.





Shaunie i'm not sure about...have you thought about Shauna (or Seanna, the irish spelling?)





I don't like lexie or miley...they just don;t sound as pretty as the other names on your list.

Reply:Caitlin - Love the name Caitlin, it's on my long list. I prefer the spelling Caitlynn, but, that's just me, it's cute either way.


Lauren - always has been a really pretty name.


Lexie - I like Lexie but more so as a middle name. I would go with a more sophisticated first name like Alexandra, Alexandria, Alexis, etc. and use Lexie as a nickname. Cute, though.


Lola - ehhh...not loving the name Lola, it's okay.


Melissa - not a bad name, just used to be so popular.


Miley - first reaction is always going to be Miley Cyrus, it's okay.


Shaunie - Not a fan, I don't like this one at all, sorry.

Lola is a showgirl (reminds me of that song)


Caitlin is too cutesy. (won't fit when she's 40.)


Lauren is the name of that stupid girl from the hills


Shaunie is cute though, it's a bit "southern" however.

Reply:Out of the List Caitlin is my favourite i love that name. I would name my daughter Caitlin Emilia or Caitlin Amelie if i was having a girl.





I think you should make Lexie into Alexis/Alexa/Alexia and then Lexie would be better as a nickname:

Reply:Depends what your other children are called, but out of your names I like Lola the best, really go for that one, its pretty and classic. Lauren, Caitlin and Melissa are quite common and Lexie, Miley and shaunie I dont like, Good luck x
Reply:I don't like any of them really, sorry. Perhaps Lauren is the best of the bunch. Miley and Lexie def not, though. Melissa is pretty. Shaunie sounds like a boy. Lola reminds me of Lolita and Caitlin is too popular.

Reply:Lauren, and Lola are both pretty. I guess I would choose between those two based on your sons' names. Do they have more traditional names, or somewhat different names?
Reply:Lauren (classic) or Melissa would fit best with your boys names I think, Caitlin in third place. The others are maybe a bit over-trendy.
