What are your favourite girls names out of these?

Aimee, Arabelle, Bethany, Briar, Camille, Chelsy, Claire, Daisy, Ella, Emily, Elsabet, Evelyn (Eva- lyn), Georgia \ Georga, Gracie, Greer, Halle, Isobel, Jade, Jamie, Lily, Lucy, Madison, Madeleine, Mathilde, Nathalie, Nicole, Portia, Peyton, Sylvie. Taylor, Violet, Yasmin, Zoey

What are your favourite girls names out of these?
My favorites would have to be:

Greer

Isobel

Madeleine

Nathalie

Violet

Emily gets an honorable mention because I love it as well. It's so gorgeous- it's a pretty classic with literary connections and a fun, simple sound that ages beautifully. I just wouldn't use it because it's become so popular of late, and I'm so afraid it's going to become one of those instantly-recognizable-decade names like Jennifer or Jessica.

However, Greer, Isobel, Nathalie, Madeleine, and Violet are lovely. Madeleine and Nathalie are both on my short list- we appear to share a love of French names, as I noticed you have Nicole, Camille, Mathilde, and Aimee on your list as well.

Madeleine is such a classic; it's so elegant and dainty, but can be shortened for a more familiar nickname. It's not hard to spell or pronounce, and it's got the characteristic sophistication that all European names carry. Nathalie; especially the French spelling, also has that delicacy and beauty about it, but my concern is that spelling and pronounciation may be butchered, as most aren't familiar with that spelling.

I also love Greer and Isobel. Greer is one of the only true unisex names, but I prefer it on a girl. It has a very feminine, soft quality around it, and there's a pretty flow. It ages well, and it's unusual, which is always a plus! Isobel is my favorite spelling of the name- it's the Scottish one, and in my opinion, the least frilly and most uncommon. But since you do seem to like French names, what about using the French spelling, Isabelle? It might make sense if you're looking at these for possible sibsets or pairs for first names. Isabelle is also the more delicate of the two, and may work better with a softer first name.

Violet is one of my favorites; spunky, fun, and sophisticated, but also ages gracefully. It's one of those "forever young" names, so pretty and youthful, but also sounds perfectly in place on an adult.

Some combos I love include:

Evelyn Mathilde

Nathalie Madeleine

Isobel Violet/Violet Isobel

Greer Violet

Madeleine Greer

Those are my favorites.
Reply:Gracie or Bethany. They're common enough that people won't have trouble pronouncing/spelling them, but it's not like 1 out of 5 people will have them. ;D Also, I really like these names.
